Trump began Saturday morning with a Tweet-storm, where he reacted to news of the FBI’s investigation into Comey’s firing, and he didn’t let his guard down after that.
Trump turned his attention to the current partial government shutdown that has surpassed 21 days, the most in American history. And he let Democrats know that he is currently in Washington, and determined more than ever to open government when they’re ready to sit down and make a deal.
Trump began by saying, “Democrats should come back to Washington and work to end the Shutdown, while at the same time ending the horrible humanitarian crisis at our Southern Border. I am in the White House waiting for you!”
He then backed up his case on why a wall is necessary by providing actual statistics regarding the “Great State of Texas,” which a giant portion of the border with Mexico.
Trump said, “23% of Federal inmates are illegal immigrants. Border arrests are up 240%. In the Great State of Texas, between 2011 & 2018, there were a total of 292,000 crimes by illegal aliens, 539 murders, 32,000 assaults, 3,426 sexual assaults and 3000 weapons charges. Democrats come back!”

The President didn’t stop there.
He topped off his latest plea to make a deal when he claimed, “Democrats could solve the Shutdown in 15 minutes! Call your Dem Senator or Congresswoman/man. Tell them to get it done! Humanitarian Crisis.”
