Conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh spoke with  “Fox & Friends” Friday morning where he responded to the “squad” outrage and the “overblown outrage” of the “send her back” chant aimed at Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) from President Trump’s rally Wednesday in North Carolina.

Limbaugh argued the chant was “innocent” and the political firestorm is “much ado about nothing.”

President Trump distanced himself from the chant, explaining in the Oval Office on Thursday that he was “not happy” about it. “I was not happy with it, I disagree with it, but again I didn’t say that, they did,” Trump said.

He added that he felt “a little bit badly” about the chant and said that he started speaking “very quickly” when it started to drown out the chant.

“Much ado about nothing,” Rush Limbaugh said, however, about the chant. “This really irritates me. There [are] two sets of rules. Democrats never have to denounce Antifa. What’s Antifa? Antifa is blowing up cities. Antifa is attacking people.”

“Ilhan Omar herself hates Israel,” Limbaugh said. “She’s been uttering anti-Semitic statements. The House comes up with a resolution, doesn’t even mention her name. And yet some people at a Trump rally make some innocent little chat borne of fun and Washington comes to a halt and everybody gets up, ‘Oh my God, oh my God, did you hear that?’ It’s nothing!” (Continued Below)

“You know, we have this two sets of rules circumstance here, and all this is, is designed to get conservative Republicans acting as though they’re guilty of racism, bigotry, sexism, and homophobia, and it’s all made up,” Limbaugh added.

“We conservatives love people, Steve,” he added. “We want the best for everybody. We want everybody to take advantage of the wonderful opportunities that living in this country affords everybody. And we want everybody to be able to have the opportunity to be the best they want to be, using the ambition, desire they have it. All we ask, all we ask is that you love the country, that you do your best to help other people love the country. There’s no reason to hate this country.”

“There’s no better place on earth to be. There’s no reason despise this country, no reason to want to perfect it on the premise that is unjust immoral. People are fed up, I think, hearing how rotten their country is. And, they’re fed up hearing the media give those people an additional platform to broadcast their hate and their disgust with the country. I think what happened at that rally is a combination of people having fun, they’re with the President that they love. It’s a take off on ‘lock her up’, Hillary Clinton,” Limbaugh explained. Limbaugh wished that Republicans wouldn’t get “so scared and afraid” of “Oh my God, oh my God, did you see what they said? The media is gonna kill us! So what. No, we’re winning!” he declared. “There’s no reason to act defensive, there’s no reason to act guilty of these false things that they accuse us of. The whole thing just ticks me off!”

After President said he disagreed with the “send her back” chant, he issued a series of tweets Friday morning taking issue with media coverage of the chant.

“It is amazing how the Fake News Media became ‘crazed’ over the chant ‘send her back’ by a packed Arena (a record) crowd in the Great State of North Carolina, but is totally calm & accepting of the most vile and disgusting statements made by the three Radical Left Congresswomen,” Trump tweeted. “Mainstream Media, which has lost all credibility, has either officially or unofficially become a part of the Radical Left Democrat Party. It is a sick partnership, so pathetic to watch!”

“They even covered a tiny staged crowd as they greeted Foul Mouthed Omar in Minnesota, a State which I will win in #2020 because they can’t stand her and her hatred of our Country, and they appreciate all that I have done for them (opening up mining and MUCH more) which has led to the best employment & economic year in Minnesota’s long and beautiful history!” (Video Below)
