Four “law professors” testified Wednesday during the Democratic-led impeachment inquiry against President Trump in the House Judiciary Committee. However, three of the four “law professors” were handpicked Democrats with an apparent bias toward the president, and who declared that President Trump committed “impeachable offenses” and “abused his power”.
Wednesday’s hearing titled “The Impeachment Inquiry into President Donald J. Trump: Constitutional Grounds for Presidential Impeachment”, was set for “Constitutional scholars” to discuss the case for impeachment.
Harvard Law Professor Noah Feldman claimed during his opening statement: “President Trump’s conduct, as described in the testimony in evidence, clearly constitutes ‘impeachable high crimes and misdemeanors under the Constitution,'” adding that the Commander in Chief’s July 25th phone call “more than sufficiently indicates that President Trump abused his office by soliciting the president of Ukraine to investigate his political rivals in order to gain personal advantage … to the 2020 election.”
UNC-Chapel Hill Law School Professor Michael Gerhardt claimed in his opening statement, “The president has committed several impeachable offenses, including bribery, abuse of power and soliciting of personal favor from a foreign leader to benefit himself personally, obstructing justice and obstructing Congress.”
Meanwhile, Pamela Karlen, a Standford Law Professor, reportedly donated $1000 to the presidential campaign of Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) in July, according to Federal Elections Commission (FEC) data.
“What has happened in the case before you, is something that I do not think we have ever seen before: a president who has doubled down on violating his oath to ‘faithfully execute’ the laws and to ‘protect and defend the Constitution,’” Pamela Karlan claimed in her opening statement. “The evidence reveals the president used the powers of his office to demand that a foreign government participate in undermining a competing candidate for the presidency.” (Continued Below)
Congressman Lee Zeldin (R-NY) took to Twitter, after observing the Democrats’ opening statements to react.
Zeldin tweeted, “Congrats to the professors who won the Dems’ nationwide talent search for the most elitist, unhinged anti-Trump professors in America.”
He added, “These meltdowns based on triggered emotions, 3% of the facts & ignoring the other 97% of the story is a permanent stain on US history. Good work.” (Video Below)
