2020 Democratic candidate and former New York City mayor Mike Bloomberg, was caught on camera at a Virginia stop, visibly not abiding by sanitary practices, which has been recommended amid the spread of the coronavirus.
In a video posted by campaign staff to Bloomberg’s Instagram, the mayor is shown tearing a slice of pizza away from the crust, placing half of the slice back into the box, and then licking his fingers.
A Bloomberg staffer had captioned the video on Instagram with: “when in doubt, rip the crust off.”
It is not clear whether anyone ate part of the same pizza after Michael Bloomberg.
Turning Point USA’s Benny Johnson posted the video on Twitter and wrote, “Mike Bloomberg licking his fingers and touching food and putting it back in the box then touching the coffee box is exactly how Coronavirus gets spread.”
On Monday, Bloomberg had tweeted: “With coronavirus spreading, there are a few things we can all do to stay safe: -Wash your hands frequently -If you have a cough, stay home & rest -Avoid touching eyes, nose & mouth -Cover your mouth when sneezing or coughing For more information, visit cdc.gov.” (Video Below)
