Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden announced on Sunday that he is adopting two campaign plans from Senators Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA).
Biden took to Twitter saying he would include two plans from Sanders and Warren as part of the moderate Democrat’s platform.
“Across the country, middle and working class families are being squeezed by debt. This is a massive problem, and one that we need all of the best ideas to solve. That’s why today, I’m adopting two plans from @BernieSanders and @ewarren to achieve this,” Joe Biden tweeted on Sunday.
“First: Bernie has put forward a plan that would make public colleges and universities free for families whose income is below $125,000. It’s a good idea, and after consideration, I am proud to add it to my platform,” he disclosed.
Biden continued: “Second: Few people in the country understand how bankruptcy hurts working families more than Elizabeth Warren. Today, I am fully endorsing and adopting her bankruptcy plan, which she called ‘Fixing Our Bankruptcy System to Give People a Second Chance'”.
“This primary has brought out our party’s best ideas, and our nation is better for it. If I’m President, I’ll continue to bring the best ideas from all corners of the country and fight to make them reality. To see these plans, you can go to my website,” he added. (Continued Below)
At the beginning of the month, the former vice president accepted Robert Frances “Beto” O’Rourke’s endorsement in Dallas, and told the former Texas congressman that he will be involved in federal gun control efforts if Biden takes office.
“I want to make something clear: I’m going to guarantee you this is not the last you’re seeing of this guy,” Joe Biden told the crowd in Texas. “You’re going to take care of the gun problem with me. You’re going to be the one who leads this effort. I’m counting on you. We need you badly, the state needs you, the country needs you, you’re the best.”
Beto, who dropped out of the Democratic presidential race in November 2019, made gun confiscation a central part of his platform, telling voters, “hell, yes, we’re going to take your AR-15, your AK-47” during a Democratic debate in September. (Continued Below)
Later in his campagin, Beto admitted that police would “visit” gun owners unwilling to sell their semi-automatic rifles to the government in order to “recover that firearm and make sure that it is purchased.”
Further, during a Democratic presidential debate last summer, every candidate on stage had raised their hand to support healthcare for illegal aliens, including Joe Biden.
