On Friday, Rep. Haley Stevens (D-MI) had a meltdown while getting a turn to speak on the House floor.

She wore pink latex gloves while she spoke, and refused to give up her time after it had expired while continuing to shout.

“I request 30 more seconds because I rise before you adorning these latex gloves, not for personal attention, but to encourage you to take this seriously,” Rep. Stevens said before House Majority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-MD) interjected, telling her that her time had expired.

Stevens continued to speak, however, raising her voice even louder.

“Sharing in the profession with those who have not come before you. Similar times of trying medical need. Wars and flu’s past. You will see darkness. You will be pushed and our society needs you to stand together at this time. Our country loves you. To our doctors and our nurses, I wear these latex gloves to tell every American not to be afraid,” Stevens yelled.

The chaos comes as the House is set to vote on the $2 trillion phase 3 package, passed by the Senate on Wednesday. The House is scheduled to vote on the legislation sometime Friday, as the disease continues to spread throughout the U.S. Meanwhile, Democrats in Congress are already discussing a phase 4 coronavirus relief package, as reported by Daily Caller.
